A top 25 bank in the Southern US wanted to reduce costs tracking check scanning machines provided to customers and continue to satisfy federal security and compliance regulations. The bank needed to ensure the check scanners remained within specific geographic boundaries and that violations could be quickly identified to their support teams.
Our solution
Edge software was developed to identify the precise geographic location of the scanner and communicate to a cloud-hosted server. Integration with a bank database provided expected geographic coordinates and a comparison indicated if the check scanner was outside of a distance threshold or outside state or country borders.
